Saada Hospital in Sohar Receives Official Commendation for Excellence in Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety

Sohar, Oman– Saada Hospital in the Wilayat of Sohar has received an official commendation from the Ministry of Health, recognizing its excellence in infection control, patient safety, and compliance with national and international healthcare standards.

The recognition follows a recent evaluation visit by the Director General of Private Health Institutions, during which the hospital’s performance, quality of care, and adherence to health and safety protocols were thoroughly reviewed. The visit reaffirmed the hospital’s commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services within a safe and well-regulated clinical environment.

As part of its continuous development efforts, Saada Hospital has expanded its Emergency Department with the addition of three dedicated observation beds. This enhancement strengthens the hospital’s capacity to respond to increasing patient demand and improves its emergency care capabilities.

A specialized infection control team operates around the clock at Saada Hospital, ensuring the consistent implementation of preventive protocols and the ongoing training of clinical staff according to the latest global standards. These efforts have contributed to reducing healthcare-associated infections and improving overall patient outcomes.

In recognition of its outstanding performance, the Ministry of Health awarded Saada Hospital the Excellence in Healthcare Quality Award, presented to the hospital’s Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Khalid bin Rashid Al Balushi. The award reflects the hospital’s commitment to continuous improvement and its role in advancing private sector healthcare in the Sultanate of Oman.
